Job description
The Chaplain will organize and lead religious services, deliver spiritual and ethical support, and provide counseling to individuals or groups within the inmate population. This role includes overseeing religious education initiatives, coordinating volunteer efforts, and ensuring precise documentation of chaplaincy activities. Applicants are required to hold an ecclesiastical endorsement from their respective faith’s governing body and the Committee on Chaplaincies. Ideal candidates should have completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and have experience with meditation techniques such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
