Job description
**Police Officer**
Police officers are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the residents of Montgomery by engaging in routine patrols, enforcing traffic laws, and conducting investigations. They are tasked with responding to emergency situations, securing crime scenes, and preparing documentation for any subsequent court actions. To be eligible, applicants must be a minimum of 19 years of age, have completed high school or obtained a G.E.D., and must possess a valid driver’s license. Additionally, candidates are required to meet physical fitness requirements, undergo a background investigation, and pass a drug screening.
