Overview of the Environmental Compliance Analyst Position:
We are on the lookout for a meticulous and proactive Environmental Compliance Analyst to join our team. This position entails ensuring that products throughout our supply chain adhere to all relevant regulatory standards, both locally and internationally. You will assist with the gathering, organization, and evaluation of environmental and product-related data, oversee regulatory compliance tracking, and help maintain precise data reporting linked to the company’s supply chain activities. Your role will involve monitoring and assessing regulations affecting product sourcing, production and/or processing, transportation, storage, and distribution, while collaborating across departments to enforce and uphold compliance strategies within the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and decode regulatory mandates impacting products within the supply chain, including but not limited to safety, labeling, material sourcing, environmental, and trade regulations (such as REACH, CBAM, EUDR, RMI, Conflict Minerals, general ESG, PFAS reporting, various trade sanctions, etc.).
  • Work closely with procurement, supply chain, quality, legal, foreign trade, sales, suppliers, and clients to ensure compliance for suppliers and products.
  • Aid in the creation, implementation, and management of systems, processes, and procedures for environmental and product data to streamline the gathering, organization, and reporting of environmental, social, governance, health, and safety information.
  • Assist in interpreting relevant rules, regulations, and standards to evaluate their implications for the Company and its subsidiaries.
  • Offer management insights regarding risks, changes, and the cost/benefit analysis related to product compliance issues.
  • Support internal and external audits, addressing regulatory inquiries, and fulfilling documentation requests.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of educational and compliance training as required to meet both organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Act as the administrator for internal compliance tools and software, handling questions and enhancing their utilization to support compliance goals.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and international product compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Self-driven, proactive individual capable of working independently on standard tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with compliance management systems or ERP solutions is advantageous.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, regulatory affairs, business, engineering, quality assurance, or another related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, compliance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or a related area.
