Job description
**Highway Technician Assistant I**
The Highway Technician Assistant I is responsible for the operation of heavy machinery, including dump trucks, snow plows, and tractors, to ensure the upkeep of roads and construction areas. Additional duties involve conducting minor repairs on equipment, aiding in surveying tasks, and managing traffic flow through flagging. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and possess a valid driver’s license. Within the first year of employment, the candidate is required to acquire a Class B commercial driver’s license, First Aid certification, and OSHA 10 certification.
