PCU/Telemetry RN
Location: Akron, OH
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Weekly Gross of $2,268 ($63/hr)
The PCU/Telemetry RN position involves working on a specialized vascular and cardiac telemetry unit designed for progressive care. This traveling role entails caring for patients who need dedicated management before and after cardiac catheterization, along with recovery support after vascular surgeries. There is no on-call duty associated with this position. While experience with sheath pulling is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.
Key Responsibilities of the PCU/Telemetry RN:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients with cardiac and vascular telemetry requirements.
- Oversee the care of pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patients and those recovering from vascular surgery.
- Ensure a safe patient care ratio of 1:5 for optimal attention to each individual.
- Utilize Epic for thorough documentation of patient care (please include Epic experience for each position held in the last 12 months).
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes collaboratively.
Requirements for the PCU/Telemetry RN:
- Must hold an active RN license.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are necessary.
- At least 2 years of RN experience is required.
- Resume must clearly indicate Epic usage in each role over the past 12 months (this is a requirement for application).
- Experience in pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and vascular surgery is essential.
- Sheath pulling experience is preferred but not obligatory.
