Job Summary
The CNC Machinist for the 2nd Shift is responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This position involves setting up machines, programming, and executing machining operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program CNC machines based on required designs.
- Monitor machine operations for quality control and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
- Document all relevant production data and report any issues to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiar with measuring tools and machining techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further technical education is a plus.
