Job Summary
The Behavioral Health CNA plays a crucial role in offering care and support to patients with mental health challenges. This position encompasses various responsibilities aimed at promoting the overall well-being of patients in a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities and personal care, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor patient behaviors and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Support therapeutic programs and engage patients in activities that facilitate recovery.
- Maintain patient records and document observations accurately.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
- Current CNA certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience in behavioral health or mental health settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate, patient, and capable of managing challenging situations with professionalism.
