Job Summary
The Assistant Chemist I position in the Analytical Lab located in the Sturgis, MI plant is primarily responsible for supporting the analytical testing process during the third shift from Sunday to Thursday. This role involves conducting various tests and contributing to the quality assurance practices within the laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing on samples to determine chemical composition and quality.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Document test results accurately and promptly for quality assurance purposes.
- Collaborate with senior chemists to refine testing methods and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and laboratory standards.
- Participate in laboratory cleanliness and organization efforts.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Familiarity with laboratory techniques and analytical instruments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
