Job Summary
The Cook (PRN) is responsible for preparing nutritious and appetizing meals in accordance with dietary regulations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. The role requires flexibility to work on an as-needed basis to support food services within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary needs.
- Ensure that food is presented in an appetizing manner and meets quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Assist with menu planning and inventory management as necessary.
- Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
