Assess and triage emergency patients, provide nursing interventions including life support, medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care, and assist physicians with examinations and treatments. Monitor and document patient status, coordinate care with the healthcare team, educate patients and families, and follow safety, privacy, and professional standards. A current Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State of Tennessee is required, and one year of emergency room nursing experience is preferred. Basic Life Support must be completed before working in the Emergency Department; Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
