Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in the healthcare system by providing basic medical care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians. LPNs assist patients with everyday activities and ensure comfort while monitoring their health status.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs and overall health.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement treatment plans and deliver patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about basic healthcare procedures and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Valid and active LPN license in the state of practice.
- Professional nursing training from an accredited program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices.
