Job Summary
The Network Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the infrastructure and operations of the Air Force. This position encompasses the administration and management of network systems, focusing on maintaining robust and secure IT environments. The ideal candidate will work in a hands-on capacity, collaborating with a team of IT professionals to ensure the efficient functioning of network platforms while adhering to cybersecurity standards required by the Department of Defense.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and management of network devices such as routers and switches.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to ensure compliance with DoD regulations.
- Collaborate with Computer Systems Administrators to support Tier IV IT systems.
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support for network-related issues.
- Engage in network performance monitoring and optimization activities.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, although an Associate’s degree may also be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in managing network infrastructure and conducting engineering activities.
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex network systems.
