Job Summary
AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, a prominent non-profit healthcare provider with a faith-based mission, is currently seeking a knowledgeable Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their Medical Oncology team. This role will primarily focus on providing care within the outpatient Cancer Institute, contributing significantly to the health and well-being of patients facing cancer diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient oncology setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients’ medical history and current health status.
- Administer treatments and therapies as prescribed and ensure ongoing patient monitoring and support.
- Engage in patient education to enhance understanding of treatment options and health management.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as an Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
- Previous clinical experience in oncology is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team to deliver the highest standard of care.
