Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Surgery (Operating Room) at Nason Medical Center is a full-time role located in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. This position involves working predominantly on-site during standard business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with additional on-call responsibilities approximately every 8 to 9 weekdays and every weekend.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and recovery of patients in the Operating Room.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses to anesthesia and surgical interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Experience in an Operating Room environment is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.
