Job Summary
The Burner plays a key role in executing the safe and effective use of an oxygen/natural gas torch to trim scrap steel to specified dimensions. Supporting onsite mill services and resource recovery initiatives, this position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Utilize an oxygen/natural gas torch to accurately cut scrap steel to required sizes.
- Support onsite mill services and engage in resource recovery operations as needed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while operating cutting equipment.
- Work in various outdoor environments, often exposed to extreme temperatures.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience with oxygen/gas torch is preferred.
- Physical capability to work in challenging weather conditions.
