Job Summary
Lee’s Summit Medical Center, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, is looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team in Lees Summit, Missouri. This role is vital for the successful preparation of surgical instruments, ensuring they are thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and available for procedures. You will collaborate closely with the OR Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse to promote safe and effective operating room operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure sterilization processes meet required standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to facilitate efficient surgical services.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment status.
- Assist with ordering and inventory management of sterile supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
