The laboratory technician performs various laboratory procedures and phlebotomy on patients of all ages under the supervision of a medical technologist. They are also responsible for computer data entry and the processing and packaging of specimens for transport. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited high school or equivalent and possess a valid Texas driver’s license. One year of full-time phlebotomy experience is preferred, and candidates must comply with all HHSC immunization, drug testing, and training requirements.
