Job Summary
The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in the financial operations of the organization by preparing regular journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and generating financial reports. This position aims to uphold the accuracy and timeliness of the financial closing process while conducting variance analysis, facilitating annual audits, and contributing to the establishment of internal controls and accounting policies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain periodic journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Generate accurate financial reports to facilitate timely financial closure.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies.
- Support the annual audit process and collaborate with auditors.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Active CPA license is mandatory.
- 3 to 7 years of accounting experience is needed.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and proficiency in financial statement preparation.
