Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the operating room by providing essential support during surgeries. This position involves preparing the environment for surgical procedures, sanitizing instruments, and aiding the surgical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room to ensure it is sterile and organized.
- Assist with the sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Ensure patient safety throughout all stages of the surgical process.
- Monitor the cleanliness and functionality of equipment used in the operating room.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
