Job Summary
The part-time Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator will play a pivotal role in promoting the health and safety standards within the organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols, thereby fostering a safe and healthy workplace for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the organization’s safety policies and programs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Provide training and resources to employees on safety practices and protocols.
- Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, making recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety management (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of environmental and safety regulations.
