Job Summary
The school nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to address the unique needs and aspirations of students facing developmental and physical challenges. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being and health of these students within the educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on nursing care, including tube feedings.
- Administer medications as necessary for student health.
- Monitor students for seizures and other medical conditions.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- A Substitute School Nurse certification is mandatory.
- PALS certification is preferred but not essential.
