Job Summary
The Director of Market Access holds a pivotal role in crafting and implementing strategies related to coding, coverage, and payment to facilitate access for patients and providers to SkinTE. This position is charged with leading negotiations with payers, engaging with Medicare Administrative Contractors (MAC), and directing field reimbursement activities to ensure a triumphant product launch.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for coding, coverage, and payment to optimize patient access to SkinTE.
- Lead payer contracting and maintain effective MAC engagement to secure favorable coverage decisions.
- Oversee field reimbursement operations, ensuring comprehensive support for successful product introductions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align market access initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Manage relationships with market access vendors to enhance the efficacy of reimbursement strategies.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is required, while an advanced degree is preferred.
- Direct experience with biologics under a Biologics License Application (BLA) or physician-administered pharmaceuticals is necessary.
- Proven track record in establishing coverage through successful MAC engagements.
- Experience managing market access vendors is critical for this role.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills to guide market access initiatives effectively.
