Job Summary
The Estimator plays a pivotal role in the organization, primarily responsible for preparing precise cost estimates and project budgets. This position requires a keen eye for detail and an in-depth understanding of construction methods and costs to ensure that proposals are competitive yet profitable.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate project requirements and perform detailed quantity take-offs from plans and specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
- Analyze previous project costs to inform future estimates and improve accuracy.
- Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation strategies during the estimating process.
- Provide estimates for various types of construction projects, ensuring pricing aligns with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
