Job Summary
The CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift is responsible for operating and programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components. This role requires expertise in machining techniques, especially in setting up and adjusting CNC machinery to meet specified production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications.
- Program CNC equipment to ensure parts are machined accurately.
- Monitor production processes and perform quality checks on finished items.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinery and production workflow.
- Maintain organized records of production and machine settings.
- Adhere to safety standards and practices while in the workshop.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is preferred.
- Experience in CNC machining, with a solid understanding of programming.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various types of CNC machinery.
