Job Summary
This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness from start to finish. This includes handling tax filings, reconciliations, reporting, audits, and responding to employee pay inquiries. In addition, the role encompasses overseeing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), maintaining personnel records, benefits administration, compliance with regulations, fostering employee relations, providing guidance to managers, and supporting team development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle, ensuring precision and punctuality in payroll processing.
- Handle tax filings and perform reconciliations related to payroll.
- Generate payroll reports and conduct audits as necessary.
- Address employee inquiries regarding their salaries and payments.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of HRIS and personnel records.
- Administer employee benefits and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Enhance employee relations and guide managers in HR-related matters.
- Support the development of the team and its members.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of progressive experience in HR and payroll, with a minimum of two years in managing full-cycle payroll.
- Experience with multi-state payroll and tax filing procedures.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Spectrum payroll software and strong Excel skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Preferred qualifications include payroll or HR certifications and prior experience with HRIS implementation.
