Job Summary
The role involves maintaining a sterile and safe environment by performing thorough cleaning and disinfection in clinical, surgical, and general areas, adhering to specific healthcare and infection-control guidelines. The individual will also be responsible for managing regulated medical waste and ensuring the cleanliness of the facility meets established standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute cleaning and disinfection tasks in clinical, surgical, and communal areas following infection-control protocols.
- Properly handle and manage regulated medical waste.
- Restock necessary supplies to maintain operational efficiency.
- Perform routine floor care and maintenance.
- Empty waste receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal locations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare cleaning, environmental services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work is preferred.
- Experience in clinical or surgical environments is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Candidates must successfully pass background checks.
- Able to perform physical tasks continuously throughout the work shift.
