Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (or LPN) for Evenings/Nights is responsible for providing support in the surgical setting during 12-hour shifts. This role focuses on enhancing patient care and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a safe and effective operative environment. The position emphasizes the significance of the patient experience and requires participation in maintaining the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Assist within the sterile operative field to maintain a safe and efficient environment during surgical procedures.
- Ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are properly maintained and readily available for use.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to contribute insights and suggestions aimed at improving patient care.
- Support the overall process to enhance the patient experience throughout the surgical journey.
Qualifications
- Certification or credentialing in Surgical Technology is required.
- A background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is also acceptable.
- Strong team collaboration skills and effective communication abilities are essential.
