Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant at the Hospice Inpatient Facility offers compassionate care and support to patients during their end-of-life journey. This role emphasizes the delivery of high-quality daily assistance to enhance the comfort and dignity of individuals in hospice care. The Nursing Assistant will work as part of a dedicated team that focuses on providing emotional and physical support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to nursing staff.
- Provide support in mobility and ambulation of patients as needed.
- Help in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Contribute to fostering a compassionate and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant is required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
