Job Summary
This position is primarily focused on creating comprehensive civil design solutions specifically tailored for battery energy storage projects. The role heavily relies on AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop essential elements such as road configurations, site grading, earthwork assessments, stormwater management, and erosion-control strategies. Successful candidates will collaborate with engineers, interdisciplinary teams, and clients, while continuously enhancing design standards and effectively responding to design challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed civil design solutions for battery energy storage initiatives.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for creating road layouts and site grading plans.
- Conduct earthwork and stormwater management design.
- Create erosion-control strategies to adhere to environmental standards.
- Coordinate effectively with engineers and various disciplines to ensure design integrity.
- Engage with clients to gather requirements and refine design outputs.
- Adapt and advance existing design standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and resolve design challenges proactively to maintain project timelines and quality.
Qualifications
- An associate or technical degree in Engineering Technology or an equivalent field of study is required.
- 6 to 8 years of progressive experience as a civil engineering technician.
- At least 3 to 4 years of experience in designing large land development projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
- Strong skills in large-scale grading and earthwork calculations are necessary.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Must possess authorization for permanent work in the United States.
