Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers by managing patient interactions and ensuring accurate medical documentation. This position involves essential tasks such as patient rooming, taking vitals, and entering medical histories within the eClinicalWorks system. The Medical Assistant also undertakes various clinical procedures, all while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and accurately record vital signs.
- Document patient medical histories using eClinicalWorks.
- Perform clinical procedures, including injections and EKGs.
- Collect lab specimens in accordance with best practices.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines in all aspects of work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a medical assistant.
- Proficient in both English and Spanish.
- Professional certification such as CMA, RMA, or CCMA, or a comparable credential.
- Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks is mandatory.
