Job Summary
This position involves overseeing the compute engineering team to design and maintain a robust, AI-enhanced compute platform that functions seamlessly across both private and public cloud environments. The role includes directing the roadmap for compute schedulers, managing capacity effectively, and enhancing performance engineering, all while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and facilitating team growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the compute engineering organization to establish and sustain a scalable compute platform utilizing AI technologies.
- Oversee and manage the strategic roadmap related to compute schedulers, ensuring efficient capacity management and performance optimization.
- Drive engineering excellence through best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Focus on team development through mentorship, training, and supportive leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years in software engineering, complemented by a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management within a global production setting.
- Extensive knowledge of distributed systems and large-scale scheduler mechanisms.
- Practical experience in implementing machine learning solutions within production environments.
