Job Summary
The Welder will execute precise TIG and orbital welding techniques on essential spacecraft components, including propellant tanks and pressure vessels. This role emphasizes the importance of adhering to specifications and maintaining high standards of cleanliness to ensure the structural integrity of the welds. Additionally, the Welder will participate in inspection processes to verify quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and orbital welding on critical spacecraft components.
- Ensure compliance with qualified welding procedures and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards during welding operations.
- Support and participate in inspection activities to verify weld quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in TIG welding, particularly with thin-wall materials.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand welding symbols.
- Aerospace certification experience is an advantageous asset.
