Job Summary
The Stress Testing Registered Nurse (RN) will conduct comprehensive assessments and manage stress testing procedures to evaluate patients’ cardiac health. This position requires working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and provide high-quality care throughout the testing process. The RN will also educate patients about the procedures and monitor their responses during stress testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for stress testing by explaining the procedure and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Monitor patients during stress tests, observing vital signs and symptoms to ensure safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized testing protocols.
- Document patient data accurately and manage records related to stress tests.
- Provide post-test assessments and follow-up care recommendations based on results.
- Maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment as required during procedures.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the relevant state or territory.
- Experience in cardiology or stress testing environments preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are typically required.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and care.
