Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR General Surgery department plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within a comprehensive healthcare network in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. This position focuses on assisting in surgical environments and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients undergoing operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support during surgical procedures, particularly in the General Surgery and labor and delivery environments.
- Assist in the administration of medication, adhering to the five rights of medication administration to minimize risks.
- Monitor patient health and provide ongoing assessments to ensure optimal care outcomes.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical operations.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols to protect patient welfare.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in surgical settings or with labor and delivery, including hands-on assistance with C-sections.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut.
- Strong understanding of surgical processes and patient care standards.
