Job Summary

A Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing the patients’ abilities to communicate effectively and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to determine the communication and swallowing abilities of patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs.
  • Guide and educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Monitor and document patients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state license and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations is preferred.
