Job Summary

The Radiographer plays a crucial role in the healthcare sector by employing imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment such as X-rays, MRI, and CT scanners to capture diagnostic images.
  • Ensure safety protocols are adhered to, minimizing radiation exposure to patients.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the processes and addressing any concerns to alleviate anxiety.
  • Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Document and store images accurately for reporting and future reference.
  • Work in tandem with physicians to discuss imaging results and assist in developing treatment plans.

Qualifications

  • A degree or certification in Radiography or a closely related field is required.
  • Licensure or certification from a recognized board, such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Strong understanding of imaging techniques and patient care principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
