Job Summary
The position of Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) is available at a Level II Trauma Center located in Baltimore, Maryland. The OR provides care around the clock and emphasizes delivering high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care. This role is crucial for maintaining the competency of the clinical staff and ensuring effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the operating room.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality care during procedures.
- Monitor patients’ conditions before, during, and after surgery.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment and uphold best practices in surgical settings.
- Document patient care activities and assist in the development of care plans.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nursing license from the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or a Compact State.
- Previous experience in an operating room environment is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic surgical team.
