Job Summary
The role involves overseeing various new product introduction initiatives from the design review phase through pilot builds and into full production release. The focus is on ensuring that manufacturing readiness, as well as targets related to cost, yield, quality, and compliance, are effectively achieved. This position also includes managing the transfer of products from the US facility to the Vietnam manufacturing site, which encompasses the documentation for the transfer, qualification of equipment and processes, team training, and the handover of production responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate new product introduction programs from design review to production release.
- Ensure that manufacturing readiness is achieved along with meeting cost, yield, quality, and compliance targets.
- Manage the transition of products from the US to the Vietnam factory, including all necessary documentation.
- Oversee equipment and process qualification to ensure effective manufacturing at the new site.
- Conduct team training and facilitate a smooth production handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 6–8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, process engineering, or new product introduction.
- Proven experience in leading NPI launches and site transfer projects.
- Strong knowledge of PCBA and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and ERP/PLM systems.
- Understanding of regulated quality systems and process validation protocols.
