Job Summary
This role involves managing inventory and stock levels within a hospital environment, ensuring that supplies are adequately maintained and organized. The candidate will be responsible for supporting supply chain operations effectively, particularly in fast-paced settings such as operating rooms and other hospital areas.
Responsibilities
- Stock, replenish, and arrange supplies across designated hospital and operating room support areas.
- Ensure that inventory levels remain appropriate and that materials are accessible at all times.
- Pick, transport, and deliver supplies to the necessary departments and supply points.
- Assist with the receiving processes and the organization of incoming materials.
- Support the organization of inventory and ensure stock rotation practices are followed.
- Identify items that are low in stock, as well as any discrepancies or supply-related issues, and report them accordingly.
- Maintain orderly, clean, and safe supply areas.
- Adhere to safety protocols, hospital regulations, and infection prevention procedures.
- Assist with various Supply Chain and materials-handling tasks as directed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory, supply chain, warehouse, materials handling, or retail stocking is preferred, ideally 6 months or more, but candidates with less experience may be considered.
- No specific certifications are required for this position.
- Basic skills in inventory management and stocking are essential.
- A willingness to learn about supply chain processes and specific departmental systems is crucial.
- Basic computer skills related to inventory or supply tracking are necessary.
- Must have the ability to work consistently from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, five days a week, including rotations on weekends and holidays.
- Dependable attendance and a commitment to completing the 13-week assignment are required.
- Ability to safely move, organize, stock, and restock supplies is essential.
- Completion of all necessary onboarding and compliance training before starting is mandatory.
