Job Summary
The EDI Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing electronic data interchange systems within an organization. This position is responsible for facilitating seamless communication and data transfer between trading partners through EDI transactions. The individual will work closely with various departments to implement and enhance EDI solutions that improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective EDI solutions implementation
- Analyze EDI transactions and data flow to identify areas for improvement
- Monitor EDI systems for errors and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions
- Create and maintain documentation relating to EDI processes and guidelines
- Assist in the testing and certification of EDI setups with partners
- Provide training and support to staff on EDI-related tasks and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Previous experience working with EDI systems and tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
- Familiarity with different EDI formats and standards, such as ANSI X12 and EDIFACT
