Job Summary
The OR18RN role involves providing comprehensive nursing support in operating rooms, specifically focusing on GU, GYN, General Surgery, and Eye procedures utilizing the Davinci XI surgical system. The operating room nurse will play an essential role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care during surgical operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pre-operative assessments and preparation of patients before surgery.
- Ensure a sterile environment is maintained during surgical procedures.
- Operate and manage the Davinci XI surgical system effectively during surgeries.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons and other surgical team members to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and sedation levels throughout procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Assist in post-operative care and recovery, monitoring patients for any complications.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active nursing license.
- Previous experience in an operating room setting, specifically in GU, GYN, General Surgery, and Eye procedures.
- Familiarity with the Davinci XI surgical robot is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse medical staff.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions to ensure patient safety.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
