Job Summary
The 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of equipment and facilities during the second shift. This position is essential for minimizing downtime and maintaining a safe working environment through proactive and reactive maintenance efforts.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on various machinery and equipment.
- Identify malfunctions and troubleshoot technical issues in a timely manner.
- Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance operational efficiency and address maintenance needs.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work second shift hours, as required.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to maintenance work.
