Job Summary
The Allergy and Immunology Medical Assistant (AI MA) plays a pivotal role in supporting healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care within the specialty of allergy and immunology. This position is tailored for an individual who is dedicated to enhancing patient experiences and ensuring efficient office operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake and medical history documentation.
- Prepare patients for examination and oversee their comfort during visits.
- Administer allergy tests and facilitate immunotherapy treatments as directed.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Operate medical equipment and support laboratory tasks when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting preferred.
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with allergy and immunology procedures is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
