Job Summary

The Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner at Sanford Health plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services. This position involves collaborating closely with physicians and various healthcare professionals to provide high-quality medical care. The practitioner will assess, diagnose, and manage both acute and chronic health conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with physicians and healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans for managing acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Conduct thorough patient examinations and assessments to determine healthcare needs.
  • Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
  • Document patient interactions accurately and maintain comprehensive health records.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • A degree from an accredited program, preferably by the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to diagnose various conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient and caregiver interactions.
