Job Summary
The Asphalt Plant Operator is a key role based in Cortland, New York, primarily responsible for managing the operation of a Stan Steel hot mix drum plant. The successful applicant will contribute to the production of high-quality hot mix asphalt, ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety protocols at various job sites, including Suit-Kote properties.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Stan Steel hot mix drum plant effectively to produce hot mix asphalt.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all operations.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support plant operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating asphalt plants or similar equipment.
- Strong understanding of hot mix asphalt production processes.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
