Job description

Job Summary

The Automotive Diesel Mechanic plays a pivotal role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems. This position requires expertise in handling heavy-duty vehicles and ensuring they perform efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of diesel engines to identify issues.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of diesel vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilize advanced tools and technology to assist in the repair process.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of services provided.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and, if applicable, certifications related to diesel mechanics.
