Job Summary
The Billing Representative in Revenue Cycle Management is tasked with overseeing the billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of the organization by effectively managing patient accounts and interacting with various stakeholders to resolve billing issues.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process billing for patient accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to facilitate the claims process.
- Resolve any discrepancies in billing and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding their billing inquiries.
- Maintain thorough documentation of billing activities and patient communications.
- Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or billing preferred.
- Proven experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification and claims processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
