Job Summary
The Brake Press Operator plays a crucial role in the operation and setup of CNC press brake machines, tasked with bending sheet metal to precise specifications as outlined in technical drawings. This position requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and machine maintenance to ensure optimal production outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machinery for metal bending operations.
- Conduct daily maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning.
- Verify part accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
- Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Completion of metal forming training or an apprenticeship program.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings effectively.
- Understanding of tolerance requirements for precision work.
- Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 pounds and to stand for 6 to 8 hours each day.
