The Certified Coder plays a key role in the assignment of CPT, ICD, and MIPS codes related to radiology procedures, ensuring adherence to quality assurance measures. Additionally, this position requires the individual to comply with relevant regulatory standards and to identify and report any inconsistencies within radiology documentation. Applicants should possess a high school diploma along with a medical coding certification from recognized organizations such as AAPC, AHIMA, RHIA, or RHIT. A minimum of two years of recent coding experience, ideally in a radiology environment or a healthcare office, is essential.
