Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering clinical assistance to physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. This position entails maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring that follow-up care is effectively managed through the electronic health record system.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures.
- Document patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Coordinate follow-up care in the electronic health record.
- Ensure smooth operation of clinical activities.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Possession of a valid certification or registration from a recognized national organization.
- Preferred experience in a clinical or outpatient environment.
- Familiarity with EPIC software is advantageous.
